You should be doing at least 30 minutes of cardio every single day. The most important aspect of this is that the 30 minutes happen sequentially. It’s not going to be as effective for your body if you are doing five minutes here, 10 minutes there. Instead, you need to block off 30 minutes out of your day and incorporate this into your workout schedule so that it is always available to you.
If you work, have kids, and simply lead a busy life, you may be thinking that 30 minutes of cardio is impossible.
The reality is that you can get it in, you just have to get creative with your workout schedule. You also need to make the commitment to add in the cardio so that you can get stronger, improve your heart health, and achieve your goals of becoming more fit and possibly even lose weight.
Create a Schedule
Having a schedule of your day is important. Many people don’t realize just how much time they have until they start lining everything up. You want to start with the time you wake up all the way until the time you go to bed. Schedule in all of the things that need to be done. You may find that with a little bit of organization, you can suddenly find the 30 minutes without any problem.
Rise an Hour Early
You may love the idea of sleeping in, but you will love the idea of being healthier even better. If you struggle with getting the 30 minutes in your schedule, try rising an hour early. The reality is that doing cardio, once you’re in the routine of it, it can actually add energy. This means that you don’t need to get as much sleep as you might think. 6 to 7 hours is generally sufficient for the average person.
Go Right to the Gym
Many people try to go from home to the gym back to home, then to work, and they spend a significant amount of time on the road. Most gyms have shower facilities, and this is to ensure that people are able to get their work out in no matter how busy their schedule might be. This means that you may want to plan on going from home to the gym and then write to work – or going right to the gym from work and then home. If you are currently adding in another stop, this may be why you currently get the gym in order to get to your final destination.
